Service Pricing is Versatile.
Many Vehicles are based on the same System, But have Different Layouts of Exterior and Interior Components.
This makes it Impossible to have the Same Set Price for Every Vehicle Repair.
Automotive Companies, Engineers and Lawyers, Have Created Estimating Books and Software.To Better Assist With Pricing. And Are Updated Yearly.
Labor Times that are Given in these Books and Software, Are all OEM TIME, Assuming All tools are at Hand and Parts Available at time of Repair,

Be Aware of Hourly Charges.
WHY PAY FOR QUALITY TIME?
Example: Johns Nissan, Needs Front Brakes Replaced. Job Should Only Take 2 Hours. Upon Servicing, Technician Notices that some bolts are covered in Mud and Rust. So He must clean which takes 10 mins on Each side, Then He must add Rust Remover and let sit for 15 mins each side. This Ensures the bolts from striping and avoids any other damage surrounding the bolt. Time goes up by 50 mins. Technician proceeds with Service, Soon After Technician realizes that the brakes pads were different and the correct pads must be Replaced. Technician must go and find the correct size. Takes another 30 mins. Once labor is complete and Vehicle is tested. Customer Is still Charged for 2 Hours and Does not Pay Extra for Technician Taking His Time and providing Excellent Service.
Are Fixed Prices always the best?
Example:
Shop A: Charges a set price of $60.00 For Spark Plugs Replace.
Shop B: Charges By the Book at $75.00 per Hour.
